I'm very glad they published this translation that was previously only available online. It is the best one I've seen. The Stephen Mitchell version is good, but it's not particularly musical, and sometimes I feel he takes too many liberties. The Dan Heitkamp version seems to stick close to the original meaning, but it's sort of plain. Although I've never read the original text, it seems that this translation by Kline takes just the right amount of liberty in order to preserve the poetry, but not disrupt the poetic meaning.The book is lovely and well bound. Five stars!

This is the first time I've read the Tao Te Ching, so I'm no expert on the 81 verses. The translation is accessible to the novice. The pictures accented the content nicely. Well worth $0.99.

This is a disappointing book for two reasons. First, the book has a few types of different recipes of Buffalo foods - wings, spaghetti parmesan, beef on weck, etc. But then it seems to try to increase the recipe count by adding recipes for "Buffalo" (i.e., Buffalo sauce) everything. Look at the table of contents with its list of recipes before you buy. Second, the attention to detail was terrible. For example, Buffalo pizza sauce is: 3 teaspoons olive oil, 1 OUNCE TOMATO PASTE, 1 cup water, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon dried basil, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 2 teaspoons sugar, 1 teaspoon kosher salt. I don't know what the proper amount of tomato paste is, but it isn't just 1 ounce. 1 ounce of tomato paste is about a tablespoon - 1/6 or so of one of those tiny little tomato pastel cans. With a cup of water? And all of the other ingredients? That recipe is useless - it will not make anything resembling Buffalo pizza sauce. Or the recipe for a Tom & Jerry cocktail. It starts with a dozen eggs. What? A dozen eggs? What if I only want one drink? While you could do the math and cut the recipe down to a single drink or two drink size, this is just laziness from the author. I hate to write bad reviews, but this book is way too amateurish.

This book is okay. I would have liked to see more details on how to make some of the items. Most of the recipes are for typical "Buffalo" chicken items. I did try the pizza dough recipe and it was very good. They definitely tell you to use too much cheese on the pizza and their technique is all wrong. Other than that, it's good book for someone looking for some suggestions on how to make Buffalo, NY style food. They have a quite a few Wing recipes and most are wrong as well. You need Jumbo wings, cook them in creamy liquid shortening at 375+ for 13 minutes (until they float).

As I grew up in Buffalo but now live in Alaska I was so thrilled to receive this. It’s a cool book/cookbook with lots of stories. Some of the recipes are spot on as I remember, some not so much. Worth it for the price though.

What a perfect book for ex-pat foodies from Buffalo, NY or for Buffalo wannabes!

Christmas gifts for children who have moved out of state and miss Buffalo food.

Has a good assortment of recipes beyond just chicken wings.

Great cookbook! The author has clearly put a lot of time and energy into researching Buffalo foods. Great for those of us who have moved away and miss the food!

Have only had this for a couple of weeks now. I needed it for my groundwater class and so far all the assigned reading have been great. Most text books you can't stay awake for more than 15 minutes trying to read them. But this one is written in a way that makes it easy to read and is full of spectacular information.

This is the latest edition of the authoritative hydrogeology text Groundwater and Wells. The previous edition (2nd), edited by Fletcher Driscoll, was published in 1986 and went through numerous printings. This 3rd edition, edited by Robert Sterrett, is not simply a minor revision - it includes significant new material about borehole geophysical techniques, water treatment, pump test analysis, and more. Oddly though, it has fewer pages than the 2nd edition, going from over 1000 pages in the 2nd edition to 812 pages in this edition. I wish I still had my 2nd edition to make a direct comparison to determine what material was cut out. I think it is well worth the money to get the new edition for the updated information - a lot has happened in the groundwater industry in 20 years. This edition also includes a DVD with the Johnson Drillers Journals dating from 1929 to 1984.

My concern is not with the condition of the book, Great!There was a glass shard in the back cover, and to me it appears it may have been placed there intentionally.The piece of glass is the size of a quarter, clear, and chipped to be razor sharp.When I opened the book I was cut on my right index finger.I still have the glass. Would you like me to send it to you?Have you ever had this problem from this shipper in the past?I'm just thankful no one in my family was hurt. SERIOUSLY! I don't know what else to say, but it seems there is something very strange here.Please respond after you check for disgruntled employees. In no way is this a joke.

Ive been in the water well drilling and pump industry for going on 10 years now. This book has proved invaluable in studying for my NJ, DE, NGWA, and NY drilling licenses. I would recommend this book to anybody in the water well and environmental drilling industry.
