Facts are interesting, but there isn't much background. Just one-sentence facts. Leaves you wanting to know more, and what the sources were. As a fan of QI and "No Such Thing as a Fish", I want more.
I loved this book and read it cover to cover after it arrived. Many of our friends picked it up and read it, while ignoring the conversation in the room. It can create some awkward moments when the reader laughs out loud while the family discusses a recent illness, injury or injustice.The engineers in our family give it 10 stars.
The bool was a lot thicker than I expected amd so much fun to flip tnrough. I keep stopping to google facts so it may take me a long time to read. Perfect for curious kids and it makes am amazing gift.
I love Qi! It got me through two rounds of chemotherapy. Now I use these books to include interesting trivia in our church newsletter. Thank you!

It is what it says it is; a book full of weird, funny and interesting facts that will have you either chuckling, WTF'ing, or scratching your head.Here are few examples:The Very Hungry Caterpillar was originally called A Week with Willie Worm.In China, it's illegal to reincarnate without filling in a government Reincarnation Application form.Men who watch a lot of porn have smaller than average brains.In the 18th century, chickens were known as "cacklers" and eggs were "cackling farts".The name Donald means 'ruler of the world'.I now find myself throwing out random useless facts during conversations, lol. As an added bonus, my point score has gone up when watching QI on TV!
I received an ARC copy of this book through NetGalley and the Publishers (Faber&Faber) and I voluntarily decided to review it.I am a big fan of the programme and I had perused through other books in the series, always enjoying the fact that no matter which page you open, you always find something that keeps you reading and discover something new.I host a local radio programme and I'm always searching for interesting and short items to share and this definitely fits the bill.I'm not sure how the ARC copy compares to the paper version but I'm sure it would delight readers who enjoy the programme and it offers support to use the data for educational purposes (that would make it interesting for teachers too).A good book to dip in and out of.
