As an MBA graduate now coaching MBA students in case interviews, I have been using Marc Cosentino’s “Case in Point†books and resources for several years. There is no right answer in a case interview….this book will train you to develop and demonstrate your analytical problem solving skills! Marc offers tons of spot-on tips, nuggets of information and clear guidance, each of which is worth the price of the book. Marc walks you through well thought out frameworks, explains the recruiters’ point of view, and shares “case math†tips that will keep you out of trouble.This book not only provides tips to be successful and offers the practice and repetition required, but gives candidates the confidence to handle yourself in very stressful interview situations.
While the content of this is good, the copy of this book had several completely blank pages. This was definitely a printing issue as the page numbering stayed ordered (with “holes†in the content). I discovered this after the Amazon return window had closed. Pretty unnacceptable from a publisher standpoint.

The content of the book is fantastic... but the spine of mine split the second time I opened it. I'm not sure if this is a 1 off manufacturing error or if these were poorly constructed
Cosentino does it again! Marc's (10th!) update to his classic book is better than ever. As an MBA career coach - we recommend this book to all our students, and order extra copies for our lending library. While still a challenging read, the fact that this version reduced the number of sample cases and focused on the most relevant cases makes the book an even better valueWe endorse Cosentino's case methodology so strongly, we bring him in to deliver his Case methodology and training to our MBA students every year. As the Wall Street Journal states: Case in Point is he MBA Bible!
The intellectual content is fine enough, but the production values of the physical book are shockingly bad. The pages are covered in some slick oily substance which makes writing and highlighting impossible since my pen's ink won't absorb into the page. Further, every single figure or diagram in the book is blurry and pixelated. Many are such low image quality that they're difficult to read. It's shocking that a publisher or press would release such sloppily made books.
This book is simply not useful for case interviews. The frameworks are old, stale, and simply don't make you stand out in an interview. If you go into any consulting interview using these frameworks, it is clear to the interviewer that you don't know what you are doing and are relying on pure memorization.Even if you memorize everything the book has to offer, there are other framework strategies that are simpler, more customized to the case interview prompt, and much more effective. Of the 5 consulting interview prep books I have used, this one is one of the worst. I'd save yourself the $20 and look to buy something else. You'll end up returning this book or not reading it at all
